At the moment I spend $63.00 a month for my internet, which is landline charges and isp charges flat rate 56k..... is there any plans or anything around that i could connect/sign up with that is alot cheaper than what i pay now? I was looking at the 256k service with telecom but it doesnt mention if it includes land charges or not...and i dont have a adsl modem at the moment neway.. woosh isnt available in rotorua yet... |

| 184961 | 2003-10-20 03:41:00 | How many phonelines do u have in your household?? If u have one separate for internet, I would suggest u go with 128k or higher. If u only have one phoneline, then go with a dialup ISP flatrate. Re: 256k are the small caps enof for u? |

| 184962 | 2003-10-20 03:45:00 | i live alone, am deaf so phone is not needed... am already on a dialup flatrate...seems like i cant go ne cheaper than what i have now... on the 256k...500mb is no where near enuf for me....so yeah it mite be just better to stay where i am eh? unless theres cheaper dialup flatrates around...am paying $27.95 or $24.95 for what i on now i think |

If you really wanted you could probably save $10.00/month and go Slingshot or with another ISP (can't remember which) which charges $9.95 for unlimited dialup. Otherwise it's not really worth the hassle |

| 184964 | 2003-10-20 03:55:00 | ya ... thanks for clearing up that u live alone. thought someone else would use the phoneline to make voicecalls. ok ... not sure if telecom can allow people to get adsl while not paying the phoneline charge as adsl is run on it. I am with Clear Net 15hrs, is this enof for u?? $14.95. There are cheaper flatrates around the $16 mark, not sure about the quality thou. Can u get 256k Telestra cable solution? |
