185508 2003-10-21 20:53:00 Is there anyway i can uninstall P2P networking component that comes with the latest version of Kazaa?

I only have PII 300 and cpu usage shots up real high with the coexistence of P2P process running while Kazaa is open.

I try to uninstall it and it tells me to uninstall Kazaaa as wel
Any ideas.

Thanks

185509 2003-10-21 21:15:00 I wonder if spybot and adaware can detect them. yingxuan (3330)

185511 2003-10-22 00:53:00 Had a similar problem not so long ago. If you run adaware and quarantine the snooping files it will disable kazaa. I dont think there is any way to disable p2p and still get kazaa to work. I got fed up with kazaa in the finish and just uninstalled the whole thing then ran adaware to get rid of all the nasties that come with it. the list was very long.

185512 2003-10-22 01:14:00 Isn't Kazaa Lite free of all the spyware and adware? Or am I kidding myself?

185513 2003-10-22 20:30:00 use kazaa lite ++ version from the UK its free of the spyware add ons etc kiwibeat (304)
185514 2003-10-23 12:49:00 It seems P2P is interwined with Kazaa it seems.
i have so far disabled it from starting upon bootup using msconfig

But yeah ad-ware scan doesnt pick it up. It seems to be a legitimate program on its own but kazaa is dependent on it

i might as well install the prev version 2.1, as that didnt come with this P2P crap!
