185460 2003-10-21 18:02:00 take the camera back and say it is faulty, or try it on an another computer.

Not much else u can do.

185461 2003-10-21 20:43:00 Did you plug the Camera into the same USB port that you used when setting up the camera? I have had printers and scanners that work 100% in port used to instal but refuse to work when swopped elsewhere. If you go to Control Panel | 2 click System | Hardware | Device Manager | Click + against USB Controllers This will list USB items, right click item, click Properties, this will give you details of that item, one should list your camera when plugged into the original port FrankS (257)
185462 2003-10-21 22:36:00 guess what,its working today :-P

i know sometimes u need to use a certain USB port not another..

yep when i went to USB in device mngr, ,i had 2 root hubs and 2 open HCD host controllers

and lastnite i also had a question mark on USB port,it said no drivers installed code 28,

so i found a 'standard enhanced PCI to USB host controller' it sounded sort asomething i wanted so installed it from the Soltek mboard cd, now its #5 entry in USB device manager ..

and it didnt work lastnite, but today yes..

so no worries

i think il be going to dick smith to get one cos i love pictures of random stuff and everyday things...

perhaps 250$ enough???\

cheers!

When it's good it's very very good. When it's bad, it's horrid
