I'm thinking wouldn't a technical linux book drive ya nuts? I mean you can't exactly put the skills you are learning to use and you are likely to forget most of it? You'll be sitting there itching for months to try out this new trick.

185554 2003-10-22 07:17:00 Could always try learning a programming language - I mean sure, you wouldn't have practical experience, but you could end up learning every single function and all that sort of stuff off by heart :D agent (30)
185555 2003-10-22 07:56:00 Chris, the Rute Users Guide can be got here (www.icon.co.za) but its fairly hefty download at 4.4MB PDF. It was on a recent PCworld CD, I'll find out which one in due course. Its linux and unix, etc, I haven't completed reading it myself but from what I've seen it's pretty comprehensive in taking you from basic to just below expert level.

Sorry to hear of your predicament and admire your guts in fronting to PF1. Hope all turns out ok for you and your's.

Cheers Murray P
