185738 2003-10-22 10:20:00 my netowrk card's IP address changed this evening and I did do anything.

the ip WAS 192.168.17.32 with sub net 255.255.0.0

later in the evening the IP was 192.168.0.1 with sub net 255.255.255.0

no spyware found, no virus found.

runnig windows XP home (SP1)
office XP (which was running at the time)
winDVD was also running at the time.



any thoughts?

192.168.0.1 is the default gateway address.

And right there,in a nutshell is your problem,Nothing is meant to work for a solid year without throw up some unexplained glitches. :D
