185706 2003-10-22 09:01:00 I have a Creative Radeon 9800 Pro (128mb version) at the moment and am positive there is something wrong with the card. In 3D Mark 2003 I get a score of 2000 or less using a Asus P4P800 Deluxe, P4 Canterwood 2.6 HT, 512 of DDR 400 Dual ram. I know it is the card that is bringing the score down because on some of the demo's I get a fps of 0 or 1!!! I have talked to Creative AU and they said it is properly a faulty card. If I was able to be a refund (not a replacement) I am wonder, what is the better manufacturer? Because when we bought the Creative card, it was considerably less than all the other cards which made me very suspicious and I have not been happy at all with it. So, rounding up ... :P ... who should I go for? JamesStewart (874)

185708 2003-10-23 01:55:00 But I want to know who the best manufactorer (Power Colour, Creative, Asus, Gigacube .... I don't know them all) of ATI Radeon 9800 Pro's are... JamesStewart (874)

If you are able to get a refund the best card in my opinion will either be Powercolor or Gigabyte or even Gigacube. In one of the Atomic Mags in the last couple of months the Powercolor 128MB 9800 does the best in most tests. Have a look at some reviews on this.

From previous experence i haven't seen any fail *touch wood* so they are my 3 best options.

I wouldn't be happy if i was getting those scores either with my Radeon 9800Pro :-(

Hope this helps

185710 2003-10-23 03:57:00 Perhaps the Asus Radeon 9800XT 256Mb ram is your option, you seem to have money to burn :). Review here (www6.tomshardware.com). PoWa (203)
