(Gives Susan a gentle smile :-), instead of a loud guffaw :D ) No need to be shy, a loud guffaw is more my style, exLL. :D > Just cracked #617 first time. Well done. :-) > Try #1941 that's my bete noir Argh!!! Not another one! :O Four restarts so far, this one is a toughie. :p I nearly had it though, then I made a stupid move and lost the lot. :-( > I'm sure Susan won't mind my butting in here. It is not my thread exLL - we have completely and utterly hijacked it off Teddy but she won't mind. :D > Re game 1941, your comment intrigued me so I just had to give it a go. I tried it about six times tonight and could hardly believe my eyes when I actually managed to complete it successfully. Very well done. That is all the incentive I need. :p :D Grabs some lunch and fires up Game #1941 with fresh determination. ]:) :D |

Gee, I'm staggered that you did 617 on your first try. That's quite incredible, double congratulations to you! Re hard games, click on the two links in my first posting above, there is a lot of information there. Here are some excerpts from those web site links: [................."hard" games: numbers 169, 617, 3701, 3710, 6837, 10623, 12384, 12445, 16624, 17565, 18938, 19253, 22272, 25206, 25450, 25995, 27478, 27657, 28138, 28588, 29788 and 30663] [................."extra hard" games: numbers 454, 718, 1941, 6182, 8591, 13867, 14548, 20630, 21283, 21365 and 25856, and, if you are willing, the "impossible" game: number 11982.] and: [Which deal is the hardest to solve?] [Difficulty is a rather subjective question, so it is not possible to give a definitive answer. The difficult deals page contains a number of lists of deals which have been found difficult. From my own experience and reports from other solvers, I would nominate 1941 as the hardest solvable deal. Another possible candidate is 10692 (in Windows XP or FreeCell Pro, try 80388). Besides the impossible deal number 11982, the most frequently asked-about deal is number 617. Although there are many harder deals, I suspect that 617 is the first really difficult deal that many players encounter when playing the deals in sequence.] Cheers :) |

| 185771 | 2003-10-29 03:52:00 | Freecell? The game included as a test for the 32bit extensions to Windows 3.1? | Graham L (2) | ||
| 185772 | 2003-10-29 04:28:00 | Shucks xLL, just lucky I guess. Thanks for the numbers I'll keep those to play during downloads/virus checks etc. When I do crack 1941 I may try 11982 the Freecell blurb says that theoretically they can all be solved. | jockT (3500) | ||
| 185773 | 2003-10-31 06:05:00 | Go into google and type in '123 free' You can download a far superior freecell | Augustus (4490) | ||
