185802 2003-10-22 21:39:00 Hi

Just looking for some reassurance here. Just lately I've received several emails purporting to come from Microsoft -

'Last Microsoft Critical Pack' from ' Technical Bulletin'
and "Net Security Patch' from 'MS Customer Bulletin' are two in my box this week. I've deleted earlier ones, concerned that they were spam.

Are these really from Microsoft - or are they some spam or worse?

Presumably if they are from Microsoft I should act on them - but why have they just recently started arriving recently?

Will appreciate some advice from you folks - thanks.

185803 2003-10-22 22:03:00 They are viruses. Worse than spam.

Microsoft will never e-mail patches to you as attachments.

Delete them.

If your settings are on High Security it will afford some protection, but disabling Preview is an additional safeguard. tommy (2826)

It's good to have you guys out there to call upon - thanks again.
