1349469 2013-07-20 03:15:00 I've tried and tried to download and install an app for my Galaxy Gio. I did this successfully for my other phone, but getting it to install just stops at a washed-out screen with no way to click the Install button.

I've got the manual, and even tried to download it via the pc - no luck. I can't imagine what the heck I'm doing wrong! :dogeye: Probably something pretty simple :(

(The app I'm wanting is QR Droid)

1349470 2013-07-20 06:10:00 You getting this from Google Play? Jen (38)
1349471 2013-07-20 06:27:00 I haven't got an android but when I had problems with my iPod Touch not installing and deleting apps the other day I rebooted it by turning it off then back on and it worked after that. That sounds obvious but what I didn't realise was that I hadn't been turning it off completely but had been putting it to sleep but once I got that sorted things were sweet. It may be worth a try if you haven't already done this. FoxyMX (5)
1349472 2013-07-21 01:10:00 You getting this from Google Play?Yep... well at least trying to. Greg (193)
1349473 2013-07-21 02:39:00 Have other apps installed OK? Is QR Droid compatible with your phone?

As Foxy suggests, it wouldn't hurt to reboot your phone either.

1349474 2013-07-21 04:30:00 It may not be possible to download that app on that phone, depending on the specs of the device. Some apps only allow downloads to phones with a certain resolution. Nick G (16709)
1349475 2013-07-21 04:53:00 Jen... this phone is a "slightly" more advanced version of my previous one, so it "should" be compatible, I woulda thought. Having said that, no I haven't installed any other apps at all on this phone. I'll give something else a try.

Thanks for the replies.

1349476 2013-07-21 20:39:00 Have you tried installing it directly from the QRDroid website? You may need to enable installing apps form third party sources to do this. As long as you have Android 2.x or above it should work. inphinity (7274)
