1349216 2013-07-18 00:31:00 Hi all,
I can get the 660 ti for $389 and the 760 for $459
The specs are quite similar and performance-wise the 760 wins by maybe 10 FPS.

Do you guys think it's worth spending another $50?

Thanks

1349217 2013-07-18 01:29:00 That really depends on your budgetary constraints more than anything. Do I think it's worth it? Yes. But if you're hesitant because of the $$, the 660Ti is still a very capable card and certainly not a bad choice by any stretch of the imagination. I have a 660ti in my gaming pc, because I don't see it being worthwhile to replace it with a 760. inphinity (7274)
1349218 2013-07-18 02:10:00 What brand? all the 660Ti's I find are within $20 of a 760 and at that difference I'd go for the 760 but at $70 difference that you posted I'd probably go for the 660Ti.
Either way it'll game well, I have a 650Ti boost and I'm surprised how well it games at 1080P. These would be noticeably better.

Both are EVGA models and I found both on pricespy. There is't actually that much difference really so I will probably save $50 and go with the 660 ti.
Thanks!

1349221 2013-07-18 03:02:00 Who is selling EVGA GTX 660ti for $389 ?? Driftwood (5551)
1349222 2013-07-19 12:03:00 I would go for the 760. The 760ti would be good when it comes out too. What is your current card? I believe the 760 has some improvements over the 660 series too. osbornezo (16903)

In raw specs the 760 is better. Not really sure what the performance is like but I expect it would better than the 660 ti

Another thing that I find quite interesting is, according to many user reviews and experiences the GTX 660 is better than the ti version.
The ti is supposed to be better at anisotropic filtering though.

1349224 2013-07-22 00:31:00 There will be no Ti version of 760 which is a rebadged 670, so has much better specs than the 6600Ti.... SolMiester (139)

Not exactly, the 760 is based on the same GPU as the 670 but so are (from toms hardware) "(GeForce GTX 690, 680, 670, 660 Ti, 770, and now the 760)"
The 760 is using 1152 cuda cores and 96 texture units but clocked a bit higher than the 670 which has 1344 cuda cores and 112 texture units. The end result is they perform very close to exactly the same but the 670 is still a tiny bit faster on average. In any case not a rebadged 670 and they could make a Ti version if they decided to.
