| 1349066 | 2013-07-16 09:16:00 | I have a Radeon 4850 video card with 2 x DVi out's on it. Currently, one dvi out has a dvi to hdmi adapter on it, with an hdmi cable connected to one monitor - let's call this (config A). The other dvi out simply connects via dvi cable to my other monitor (config B). Both monitors connect fine this way and I can drag/place different windows between the two. I have a third monitor, which I just want to duplicate one of the existing monitors on, connecting via HDMI. In short I simply want to split the signal from one dvi-out to two monitors. I decided the easiest thing was to adapt config A because the 3rd monitor is connected using a very long HDMI cable (this cable works, I've tried it). So I went and bought one of these dx.com But when I plug one, or both monitors in thru this adapter I get blank screen(s). Should I ditch the dvi to hdmi adapter and hdmi to 2 x hdmi adapter, and plug in something like this instead? dx.com Or isn't this config going to work at all? |
