My assertion would be that bureaucracy, in pursuit of its objective to control monopolies, has only succeeded in creating smaller versions (oligopolies) of the same. So the consumer is left no better off, in fact worse because as far as a oligopoly is concerned, there's safety in numbers. |

And then of course there is the Collective Price Fixing which has to be vigorously denied. We are supposed to believe that its coincidence that if one company ups the price the others follow. These politicians and bureaucrats treat us as if we are brainless sheep with no memories. Yet perhaps we are, as we continually encourage them by treating them as sane human beings, instead of as the sociopathic criminals they are. Up against the wall with them I say! |
