1325536 2013-01-29 20:17:00 Sisters macbook HDD died, jumped online at about lunchtime yesterday and ordered a 500gb WD Scorpio (blue), paid via visa debit with Standard courier.

Today, bang on 8 am a courier arrives and hands me 2x large boxes. I'm confused as to why they are so big but oh well :D one contains the HDD and the other contains the replacement headphones that I RMA'd about 3x days ago (also from itExpress.

Total was about $87 for the HDD, GST and Shipping, I have always been extremely impressed with itExpress and today just set that in concrete again! Also, kudos to Ingam Micro who are responsible for actually shipping the product out the door, it was put in the post the same day I paid. Element14 are also one of my favourite suppliers. Fast, friendly and fast. Can't ask more than that.

Anyway, I thought why not list your favourite retailers (esp online ones). My top are definitely e14 and itExpress, for itExpress this is the 4th outstanding experience with them.

1325538 2013-01-29 22:35:00 Computer Lounge I have always found OK with RMA.

We mostly use ascent at work, only a freight forwarding service really, but always top service.

1325541 2013-01-29 23:53:00 I never base service on sales.
It's the after sales bit that separates the scum from the excellent.

1325542 2013-01-30 01:04:00 I do have concerns with the lack of description on the itExpress web sight. An example is they advertise two versions of MS Office 2010 but give only scant descriptions. I could not find what programmes are included in each suite advertised. I have to guess that the dearer suite at $383.44 would include MS Outlook.

When I make a buying decision I need to have a more detailed description which includes specifications.

Pity because I went to high school and spent my early teenage years in the Buller. I would certainly like to support a Westport, South Island based IT supplier.

1325544 2013-01-30 04:21:00 Element14 are also one of my favourite suppliers. Fast, friendly and fast. Can't ask more than that.

They are great! I ordered some parts from E14 mid-morning and I had them in my hand the next morning. Less than 24 hours for pick, pack, despatch, transit the Tasman, pass through Customs and be delivered to my door.

I couldn't get that snappy service from the other side of the Coathanger.

Cheers

1325545 2013-01-30 19:37:00 I have used Elive - they were good.

But now I use PB Technologies a good range and good service, plus they replaced a hard drive no worries (it turned out to be my mis- diagnoise!)
