| 1325128 | 2013-01-27 19:55:00 | Nothing odd with someone covering the field - so to speak :) +1 I got excited when I read that $15,000,000 had gone to a ticket on the West Coast. :D Soon calmed down after checking the results. Bugger. :( |

| 1325129 | 2013-01-27 23:30:00 | You would be a little gutted winning 1st division and only getting $79,000 odd. Back in the early days of Lotto all the sevens came up and thirty odd people won but only received around the $30,000 mark. One guy knowing he had won Lotto went on a spending spree before having the winnings in his hot little hand and ended up in debt. | mikebartnz (21) | ||
| 1325130 | 2013-01-28 01:13:00 | So it seems they'd used a strategy to use their 'favourite' numbers to cover all the Poewerball possibilities, and actually fluked a win. But if you analyse what has happened, all this time they have been reducing their chances of a regular Lotto win to one tenth of what it would have been if they'd simply used a mix of numbers for each line. So... a dumb strategy that should have cost them their potential winnings has fluked a major win... if I'm interpretting things correctly about them playing the same numbers on every line. Dumbass rules :waughh: |

Dumbass rules :waughh: Strategy? Lottery? Can you use those two words together? Lotteries are designed for the mathematically-challenged. The odds of winning anything at all are astronomical. Dumb luck is what it comes down to - that, and a regular 'investment' of cash that most people never see ever again. |

| 1325133 | 2013-01-28 03:22:00 | 1. You've gotta be in to win - somebody has to win :) 2. Pick 6 numbers (Birthdates, Months and ages are the norm) 3. 10 lines of Lotto and 10 lines of Powerball covers all your options. 4. Brilliant strategy - especially if your numbers come in. 5. Multiple winning prizes in your bank - screw the rest :) 6. Yes, I do the same - cost is $12 a ticket. It is called the leisure dollar. Begrudge me - who cares? Good Luck to those who win - as always, there will be plenty of moaners around, as is evident here :( |

Picking dates is a waste of time - 9 times out of 40, on balance, the number will be between 32 and 40... $12 a week = $624 per annum. Even that paltry sum could make a difference to your mortgage... |
