1326174 2013-02-05 20:11:00 The teachers need to remain calm and carry on. prefect (6291)
1326175 2013-02-05 21:12:00 Digby, listen up and pay attention. ;)

There is $12 million is teachers pay in the wrong place somewhere in the system. Now that ain’t chaff.

Then they recon it will take up to 2 years to fix! HERE (www.stuff.co.nz)

Yeeeee gods have they never heard of an XL Spreadsheet.

I didn't ask if any money has been wrongly paid.

I asked how many teachers have not been paid.

There were 8,000 way back

Have they all been paid now

Are some still waiting ?

We need hard facts.

I know quite a bit about payroll as I designed, tested and sold a payroll system in the 1990's

Try putting 100,000 people on an excel spreadsheet.

Or going back to MANUAL as some idiots have suggested.

1326176 2013-02-06 03:10:00 It doesnt matter who what or when, what matters is can it be resolved, can these teachers have their sanity and stress levels lowered back to normal and soon. and a better bank balance asap.

Some may have got paid, whether it was correct or under over or what, while others havent. some schools are juggling topping up teachers, i think some banks are even being helpful......... but when the eftpos card declines or the bank statements show heaps of red lines.... no matter how much one says im sorry, if youre not living it you have no major impact or stress to worry about. these people are expected to grin and bare it and carry on.

Those teachers that domanage while this is happening i take my hats off because they are still expected to go to work each day and teach our futures to be the best that they can be.........
when currently they probably dont feel anything near it themselves.

Good luck Chem i hope its sorted real soon.
unlikely as it seems sometimes miracles do happen........ maybe they will get their a into g and fix it quickly........

1326178 2013-02-06 06:05:00 So one principal worked today to fix some problems and the news reports that "principals" have been working on Waitangi day. Digby (677)
1326179 2013-02-06 08:15:00 I wouldn't be surprised if there are a large number of principals working today Greven (91)
