1326154 2013-02-03 03:51:00 Your post made good points until that was said - trying looking in the mirror - not every one is a kiss arse National supporter.

We all know what you are more than likely to say if National get the boot this time -- its all their fault, National wouldn't have done that.

O
Sorry but had to do a throw away commie line to keep Gary on his toes.

Seems we don’t learn from others mistakes.

1326157 2013-02-04 19:12:00 They keep saying 8,000 teachers have not been paid. (that is old news)

So seeing as how the number is not growing then I assume that most teachers ARE being paid.

So to me its all trivial queries like my extra 1 hour overtime was missed.

You're making a big assumption there, Digby - that the 8000 teachers that have not been paid today are the same 8000 teachers that weren't paid last cycle....

I think if you were one of the 8000 on a teacher's salary (a piss-poor one in many cases, too), you would not think it was trivial that you had not been paid.

Well, they total $12M apparently which is hardly trivial.

Of course, we shouldn’t forget Maurice Williamson’s failed venture into computers, namely INSIS.

For those with short memories, among other things, he cancelled our Life Time Drivers Licences on the pretext that a photo on the new licence would reduce the road toll, when in fact he hoped that the photo on the new licence would help solve crime by matching photos in the same way as finger prints and DNA. Despite being told he was dreaming, he pursued his dream and came up with a computer system that was virtually useless for anything.

Seven years and $110M dollars later we get this:

“An independent ministerial inquiry into INCIS, conducted by Dr Francis Small for the Minister of Justice, was completed in November 2000. It was commissioned by the government so that experience gained from the project could be published and used for the benefit of government agencies to successfully manage information technology projects in the future”.

(Insert Tui Add.)

1326162 2013-02-05 01:18:00 They are saying that 8,000 teachers were not paid since Novopay started
Not last pay run !

Notice they do not say how many teachers have NOT been paid lately.
Probably because they are all being paid.
