1325167 2013-01-28 03:08:00 Here. (www.nzherald.co.nz)
I don't know what Greg Murphy is on about when he says "We have an incredibly old fleet of cars on the road and we are now putting the responsibility squarely on the motorist to ensure that they get their vehicles safe." Greg, cars older than 13 years still need a 6 months WOF check. Sounds like he is calling a car newer than 13 years old.
:)

Isn't that exactly where the responsibility should lie?

Yes that seems to be a flaw, as for jap imports I'm pretty sure there is a cut off date for importing due to frontal impact regulations plod (107)
1325170 2013-01-28 04:00:00 I'm only making an assumption here on the 13 year thing.
:)

How presumptuous can you get?

WOF people make it up themselves.
An engine leak isn't a warrant thing either yet VTNZ made a fuss about a car I had taken there once, then pulled the hose off the air intake. Ad denied it later.

Fully agree with you.

WoF is just another 'gift' from the govt to that sector of business a chance make some extra income, nothing more than that! Full of #$#%sh*&
