1325774 2013-02-01 03:08:00 OK, thanks. My laptop wasn't going when I did the scan - do I need to scan when all PCs on the network are actually running?

I just used the default range in the scanner from .1 to .254 because all three PCs and the networked printer are within that range (they are all automatically assigned an IP address when they start up). Do WIFI devices on the network have an IP address assigned to them? If so, both my Nexus 7 and Herself's iPad were running when I did the scan.

1325775 2013-02-01 03:15:00 Wired and wireless devices will be given ips automatically, unless you give them an ip manually Speedy Gonzales (78)
1325776 2013-02-01 03:24:00 Incidentally you don't have to enter your email address when the scanner linked in Zaras PCW post is first run. I hate that sort of spammy thing. Just leave the email box blank and click, it says thanks for registering. Terry Porritt (14)

It identified my media server, but said it is not exploitable.

So that's nice :)

I must have caught it unawares, before it had time to think :)

1325779 2013-02-01 04:42:00 I always knew UPnP was a bad idea. Never used it... Agent_24 (57)
