| 1349143 | 2013-07-18 21:42:00 | So everyone says yet when I tried the trial of Nod on 2 dual core duos here they were slower than when running MSSE I havnt really seen that myself , we're a reseller & have installed many NOD's on some pretty crappy P4 PC's .... not saying it wont happen though :-) Was that Nod Internet Security Suite, or Nod AV only ?? Nod AV's startup scan can cause a startup delay , I have had to disable NODS startup scan due to complaints on some older PC's & lappies. Geeze, I mean cant they wait for that extra 30sec to load Win :groan: |

| 1349146 | 2013-07-20 06:04:00 | Don't get MSSE, I've been using it for ages an just got sick of mopping up after it. It has never picked up anything in realtime and maybe 1 item ages ago on a scan. Malwarebytes and Superantispyware have picked up quite a few nasties that MSSE has missed, especially lately. I have dropped MSSE and am currently on a 1 month trial of NOD32 which picked up a bit more rubbish missed by everything before. Avast seems to attempt to cover a few more things, ie email than the opposition, but you can guarantee it won't be all that good(get what you pay for). Maybe get them to use it, some antmmalwae programs, and advise online scans periodically, then you would increase the time before they need you to do cleanups. They may get sick of of all the effort to protect the computer and decide to spend a few bucks instead?? | PPp (9511) | ||
