| 1349621 | 2013-07-23 09:05:00 | Bwahahaha, the USB Port strikes back! Moving on. I now have a USB Port (USB 2.0) that no longer functions, when using anything; mice, USB Drives, External HDDs, micro-USB chargers, electric toothbrush (not that I have one, but it probably wouldn't work all the same ^^). In essence, anything that can be used in a USB port doesn't work. It was just a few days ago thought, and I only noticed it wasn't working 'cause my wireless mouse stopped working. NOT flat batteries, definitely sure of that. I didn't want to think of it as a hardware problem, ugh, what a headache it would have been, dealing with warranties and what not. :stare: Decided that it is probably a driver or something, I went into the Device Manager thingy, and found that one of my "Universal Serial Bus controllers" wasn't functioning properly, more specifically: Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1E2D Message: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43) Looks something like this 5129 Anyways, after a quick thought: "Wow, Code 43 really helps.". After a quick consultation session with Google Sensei, it seems that it may be down to some sort of Driver problem - sigh of relief - which can easily be fixed. Anyways, how can I fix this? I have the latest Drivers for the Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1E2D, as I found when attempting to update in the Manager, so I know that's not the problem. Anything? |
