1349007 2013-07-16 05:21:00 Seems odd but i cant find a screen that matches my relatively basic criteria - at least via price spy (which is relatively reliable).

27"
IPS
vesa mount
hdvi input
sub $600

the closet is the Dell UltraSharp U2713HM $849.00

Am i missing something?

1349008 2013-07-16 05:48:00 You're right.... heaps around but not with VESA mounts. Weird...

Wait, here you go.

Same thing from CL. They don't list it as being VESA compatible but it is according to Dell. Nice looking screen for the price, as long as you don't mind glossy.

Try the viewsonic's, on the right are the features, run through and select the ones you want and it will give you options.

1349010 2013-07-16 06:14:00 thank you both, but the search continues.

the only matching viewsonic is $993

the dell has some harsh reviews regarding how glossy it is. pity its otherwise perfect

1349011 2013-07-16 06:25:00 General Rule of thumb is, larger the screen, higher the Spec's = Higher the price. Sub $600 may be impossible for the spec's.

Depending on the model you were referring to in the Viewsonic's, the one linked ( VP2770) I looked at the dealers price excluding gst, thats way over your Sub $600

1349012 2013-07-16 21:48:00 I've used a few of those Dell screens, and they look amazing, but in reality if you have a window or a light behind it, you're probably going to be frustrated by the reflections. wratterus (105)

Thanks for the input, i'm just going to have to bite the bullet and spend more. It seems a vesa mount has become a luxury item, expensive for 4 holes.

I'm going to buy ASUS PB278Q
if any one cares ;-)

www.ebay.com

This is your cheapest option: www.ebay.com (not sure if QNIX does VESA mounts or not)
