| 186735 | 2003-10-26 05:44:00 | Hello, I'm having trouble with my spear PCI slots, I'm Wanting to put in a new sound card and a Tv Turner card in. But When I Put them in and boot up my computer an error message appears just after the windows start screen, saying " Cmdninst has caused an error in <Unknown>" And the computer stops responding. I'm Running Windows Me, and i've tryed installing one card at a time, but still the same problem. I tryed the cards on my familys computer and they install fine and work fine, so it's not the cards. When i take the cards out and boot up, windows boots up fine. I'm not sure what to do next? Any help well be grateful cheers |

LEAVE ALONE the System listings unless you know what you are doing. A mistake there could render a reload necessary. Any old devices will show up here in safe mode and can be deleted here. Usually safe to delete the top of the listed double-ups. Restart back into safe mode and check once more, if all clear, then try installing your cards one by one. |
