s-video is 4 pin. i think you are looking at a ps2 port not video out.

186692 2003-10-26 07:22:00 You will not find one. S-video is a different format to composite video, that is what the RCA plug is.

186693 2003-10-26 07:28:00 there is a way - sort of. I had a svideo to RCa cable (via DSE) which of course did not work.
A freind has an Asus laptop which has svideo out, and came with a *proper* svideo to rca cable. Only 6 inches long but worked perfect first time. I've never seen this particular type of svideo=rca cable for sale though, had the proper amount of pins.

186694 2003-10-26 07:41:00 s-video is not so much different format but the some of the componants of the composite signal seperated out, hence the extra pins required.

you can make an adapter easy enough. some vid cards will work ok if you simply join the correct wires together, otherwise you need to put a small capacitor on one of the leads. i have a diagram somewhere here.....

186695 2003-10-26 07:45:00 Im not a ideot (ok mabe at spelling) but i do know the diffrece betwen a Ps2 port and a S-Video out from a Hp Pavilon Ze4103s notebook its a yellow port and it has 7 holes

do you think a radio shack will have 1?
