| 187254 | 2003-10-28 03:47:00 | Hey, I have 2 Screens, 1 on my Laptop and 1 on a normal screed non LCD so any way i know you can extend your windows desktop in to the 2ed screed but i read that this guy (in a form) had 2 screeds on 1 hard drive (you know the box thing :D) and he had 2 diffrent start bar things (you know the thingy where all open programs are showin) so is there a web site that i can get it? ps it was a www.overclockers.com form Thx |

| 187255 | 2003-10-28 05:10:00 | I run dual screens on 1 PC. Each screen needs its own Video Card, or a dual output Video Card. You can have different applications running on each screen or one application running across 2 screens. Its been available as part of Windows for years. You only get 1 Start bar though, and I can't imagine why you would want 2. |

| 187257 | 2003-10-28 05:55:00 | While dual task bars is not supported within Windows, there are third-party programs (such as UltraMon) that allow a task bar on each monitor (windows supports more than 2 monitors) that shows the tasks running on each monitor. You can, using just Windows, choose which monitor has the task bar, if you don't want to clutter one up. Personally, I like to have as much screen "real estate" free as possible, and would see the valuable space taken up unnecessarily with another task bar on what would normally be a fully clear screen a hindrance, but to each their own .... |
