| 186865 | 2003-10-26 20:41:00 | Hello, I'm Trying to install a sound card and a Tv Turner, But My computer will not detect the new hardware when I Start up windows Me, I've tryed doing a harerware detection within windows, but still nothing, I've just reccently reinstalled windows me, installed some more ram, so now I've got 768 MB of ram, but that should not effect it. The sound card and tv turner used to be installed in my computer before, but I took them out when I reinstalled windows. So it didn't cause any errors during setup, which it has before. Any help will be grateful |

| 186869 | 2003-10-27 08:59:00 | Yeah i had the same problem with my TV Tuner card and sound blaster Live 5.1 card. Eventually I figured out that it works best if you install the TV Tuner first and then the sound card after. Also instead of using the add new hardware wizard... if it detects your card on start-up (the tuner card i mean) close the new hardware wizard and just run the setup program, if it's a TV Tuner and Radio receiver there will be multiple drivers and they have to be installed in a certain order for the card to work correctly and to avoid any conflicts with IRQ's and DMA's etc Hope that helps cheers chiefnz |
