If this component is damaged or missing, you will get the error, but its possible its become unregistered . Get to a command prompt by typing Start - Run - CMD, and at the command prompt type REGSVR32 APPWIZ . CPL . If this doesn't work try running SFC (System File Checker) with the /SCANNOW option (type SFC /SCANNOW) . You may be asked to provide the Windows OS CD . There is a space after SFC in the command line . I had the exact same problem . But you second suggestion . SFC / scannow works perfectly . It restored all my programs in the add/remove and now i can uninstall them again Thanks!! Rod |
