2003-10-28 17:38:00 | When I am using Word 2000, every time I type "is" the damn thing shows "ç" (That's c with a french cedilla accent) Everything else seems OK, but this anomaly suddenly appeared. It's a UK built machine with English Word, maybe it's just because I live in France? Any one have any bright ideas? | tylden (4262) | |

2003-10-28 18:06:00 | Hi Tylden Your problem could be something simple - like changing the location settings in your control panel. For example, you changed the Region settings from NZ to French so that Francs would be the currect currency setting. I suggest, if you have changed the region settings, that you put it back to NZ (or UK[British]). If that was the problem you had, I hope it helps. Rev Species 116

2003-10-28 18:09:00 | Amazing - worked like a charm. Thank you , beama | tylden (4262) | |
2003-10-28 18:13:00 | Sorry, I should have made clear - it was the auto-correct route that worked. Hey, you get on your computers early in NZ, don't you!

Perhaps they [your friends] added that feature to Auto-Correct. If that is the case, just give them a gentle nudge to say - Please don't do it again :) Rev Species 116 |
