187309 2003-10-28 16:07:00 Hi, when I installed Outlook I left OE installed but exported everything to Outlook because I heard of some problems from other people. In searching Google I found this article (support.microsoft.com) which suggests Outlook 2000 shares some components. Not sure about Office XP. parry (27)
187310 2003-10-28 21:53:00 Hi there - earlier versions of Outlook used "Express" as the news group reader - have no idea if this is true for Office 2003.

Safe option is NOT to delete "Express" (it doesn't take up a lot of space) - just delete any shortcuts to it, and can safely pretend it's gone!

187312 2003-10-29 01:49:00 hi everybody, I'm having trouble with my outlook express at present, appears there's a wee bit missing since I deleted some games programs, I cannot download or upload emails, but i can still use internet etc.
I have ms.word 2000 installed along with ms.works 4.5, I've downloaded a new set of IE+sp1. will this have a new OE. as well ??
1st. query is how can I get to use the outlook program in word 2000, I have looked & been unable to find "OPEN OUTLOOK"
next query is> will I strike the same problems with it????<
next query is> I've also got a problem with my cd.rw, it runs & all my checks say it's OK. but it refuses to load cd's onto the computer, I'm sorry if this is a bit rambly, but ??
any info will be received with thanks.

Yes, it should have if you downloaded the full version and not a selection of components. When you install it go through the options to ensure that Outlook Express is installed.

I suggest making a new thread to post this question in because people who may be able to assist probably will not look at a thread entitled Outlook/Outlook Express. :-)
