| 187276 | 2003-10-28 09:17:00 | I have an 80GB external hard drive (USB2 connected type) which I want to format as one large FAT32 partition from a Win2k computer. I want to use FAT32 to allow compatibility with Win98, etc, machines in the future if necessary, however at present I only have access to Win2K and WinXP computers so can therefore only format FAT32 partitions under 32GB. I could boot from a Win98 floppy disk but then I wouldnt have all the necessary drivers installed to access the USB connected hard drive. Does anyone know of any shareware/freeware for formatting larger drives as FAT32 under Win2k? Or how to make a Win98 boot disk with external USB hard drive support? Any other suggestions gratefully accepted? Thanks, Peter |
