| 187266 | 2003-10-28 07:29:00 | Usually how many speaker outputs are there?? I have 5 speakers with 2 wires each - red and black. I also have a bass unit - not sure about he wires of these yet thou.. I believe the ones I seen are centre, back and front. How do u connect two speakers (each having 2 wires each) into a plugin socket plug?? Are there adaptors avail?? Like front left/right into one socket, centre into one, back left/right into one socket again.. How do I convert 2x two wires (red/black) into one socket... I have yet to get the sounds and the mobo... Nomad |

Generally you can't drive speakers directly from a sound card, the speakers need to be driven from an amplifier (which may or may not be integral to the speakers, but will have a separate power source) Its just that your description of "Red and Black wires" suggests they are not sheilded cables you would need to use, taking sound from the "line output" levels of a sound card to the inputs of an audio amplifier. |
