187503 2003-10-30 09:54:00 I didn't notice drunk or drugged idiots last year.

Mind you, I'd assume most of the drugged people would be in the tent thing (forgotten the name of it), and the drunk people right up in front of the stage - two places I didn't venture near.

Cheap and convienent, but possibly run-down and dodgy?
The bus departs from the opposite side of the street.www.kiwiexperience.com
More backpackers stuff...OR....
www.find-hotels-world.com
A fine selection of upper-end stuff.
The Quest on Mount or Quest on Auckland (I don't know where they got there names) might be OK. I've stayed at the Copthorne, it was nice.
All may be a bit pricey, but worth it if it helps to give a good impression of Auckland. Which is a really great city, if you havn't been here before.
I hope the weather is good on the day.

187505 2003-10-31 08:01:00 The Quest in Nelson St. is quite expensive compared to motels and backpackers etc., but very comfortable, however it`s set up more for people to drive/take taxis. Look in the A.A. motel guide, round One Tree Hill, Onehunga, Royal Oak way- all have reasonable access to the City, and will probably be cheaper and handy to the venue. I saw Led Zep at Western Springs....so they tell me. brewer (4389)
187506 2003-10-31 08:29:00 Seriously, I know Led Zeppelin was before my time, but I don't see why everyone is thinking they're the headline act. I don't like them, and I hope they don't place them last just because the organisers think they will be popular (and they probably will be... but I'll be off somewhere else as soon as Led Zeppelin step on stage). agent (30)
