187541 2003-10-29 07:17:00 Hello,

I'm wanting to get replace my old PS/2 keyboard and mouse with a new ones. I Removed my old PS/2 Mouse and keyboard, and connected up my new USB mouse and keyboard, But When I Booted up Windows XP I couldn't move the mouse or type anything (e.g My Password to log In).
No Drivers or instructions came with my new keyboard and mouse.

Any Help would be great.

187542 2003-10-29 07:22:00 you most likly will need to get into the bios and enable usb support for keyboard. most mice should work with stock windows drivers however if it dosn't simply download them from manafactures web page or use microsoft ones or logitech. tweak'e (174)

Then shutdown, unplug the PS2 ones and turn the PC on again. The reason being that windows probably doesn't detect new devices,..or doesn't configure them until after your logged in.
