187843 2003-10-30 05:30:00 I'm just using dreamweaver to make a catalouge for one of my cd's but when I try to enter the link Patches\Battlefield 1942 1.3 for flash text it blabs on about absolute referencing or something.

Because I may in the future use the cd in a drive named E:\ how can I make it work with a full location? like cdpath\\Patches\Battlefield or something?

cheers

187844 2003-10-30 05:45:00 In dreamweaver(you do not say what version so I am guessing you have 4 or MX) Go to site > new site then fill out the information it wants & then under local root folder ( first make a folder under your Documents & call it what every you want e.g. cd-rom) then browse to that folder you just made then select it then after that just say ok, then that should stop that message from popping up.

Hope this helps

PS: I am just about to go out so if the above does not help I will have another look when I get back latter on.... :)

187845 2003-10-31 00:24:00 [dreamweaver 4] -- but then even if it's file\\C|\Docu & Sett\Admin\My Docu\cd-rom\plug-ins\wma-support.mmz in the link box, will it still pick up the file?

Won't it look to C drive on the computer it is being used on?

187846 2003-10-31 01:03:00 Have a look at the Warehouse book area ... they might have a Dreamweaver book there ... I think I saw one at one of the Christchurch shops today. They seem to be reducing the computer books they got in a few weeks ago ... tho one I bought today was marked 14.99 but rang up at 9.99 . :D Graham L (2)
