| 187605 | 2003-10-29 09:12:00 | Hi there I am trying to install a game called LEGO Alpha Team for my son on my PC which has Windows XP (with SP1) installed. It is telling me that it cannot find a "Miscrosoft Direct3D compatible display driver" and so will not play (it has installed ok though). I have got a IBM 6547 monitor with a S3 Graphics Inc. Trio3D display adapter. Can anyone suggest how I can get this game going? Thanks |

I suggest you try visiting this page before you begin: www.s3graphics.com It recommends using the Wins3id.exe utill, to find out the exact model of graphics adapter you have. Hopefully you have the 'Trio3D/1X-/2X (360,362,368)' type card as there is an XP driver available for this adapter. Then visit: ranger.s3graphics.com To get your drivers. After installing the drivers try running dxdiag to test the drivers. Good luck |

There are 32Meg PCI Graphics cards that go for around $60-70 if you look in the right place.. I put a friend onto one about two weeks back :-) |
