| 187688 | 2003-10-29 11:33:00 | ok so i want to save 48hours of TV to my PC (Stargate) NONSTOP How do i go about this? i have a 40GB drive empty ready to record to i have 2 problems 1. to get/borrow a video card with AV In 2. what software to use don't worry about the video card i have a mate that i can borrow from but i need to know how to copy from the TV to the PC what software compresses it as it writes? i don't mind if it gets 250MB to the hour but i cant have it write 1GB to the hour just remember it will have to write for 48 hours nonstop suggestions on software please |

| 187691 | 2003-10-29 22:55:00 | I'm not quite sure why you want to record non stop - why not just record each program as an individual file? You could also then write the individual programs to CD. Most Cards with video capture also come with a capture program, which will work well. My flatmate was recording videos to HD, and found that the video recording software crashed if he tried to record long videos. This was fixed by adding more RAM. Try some a few different formats for recording the videos at the start, looking at the quality / size. N |
