I am using a form to update the data on my tyre database, here is an example of a few records, first number is the id. 1 Bridgestone Techno 175 70 R13 2 Bridgestone Techno 175 70 R14 3 Bridgestone Techno 185 70 R14 4 Bridgestone Techno 195 70 R14 5 Bridgestone Techno 185 70 R14 6 Firestone F900 185 70 R14 7 Firestone F900 195 70 R14 So all this is pretty cool but I don't want to enter the same model twice by accident. As you can see any one field will be repeated which is ok but I don't want any complete record row repeated. Is there a property setting to stop this??	Ron Bakker (356)
187604	2003-10-29 09:50:00	Hi Ron if you want to uniquely identify records you use the primary key on the field. If you have multiple fields that together make a record unique, open the table in design view, select all the fields concerned (hold down the CTRL key and select the fields) then click the primary key icon from the toolbar. Is that what you want? Note that an error will occur if existing records break these rules. Its best to tidy up the database records before editing the table.	parry (27)
