188202 2003-10-31 10:58:00 This is the weirdest...

I just noticed that while on a web page, when I use the scroll bar on the right, it causes some interference noise out of my speakers. I've only noticed this tonight, after having the same setup for around 6 months.

Monitor is a Philips 107T, speakers are TDK Tremors, with the satellites set about 60cm each side of the monitor.

The sound is kinda like a rustling buzz. Any ideas?

188203 2003-10-31 11:24:00 the first question is what changed?

sound like it could be interferance from the video card or cable.

or it might be a problem with "noise" getting in to the system before the exit of the case.

188204 2003-10-31 11:38:00 Well the first thing I thought about is what I've changed - very little that should impact on this - I moved my mouse and scanner usb cables to two other sockets to ease my changing the speaker cable, then I tried out my headphone cable into the speaker output socket, then I replaced the speaker plug back into it's original position - in essence nothing that should amount to any real change Greg S (201)
188205 2003-10-31 11:46:00 sound like you might have moved the audio cable closer to the Video cable...... robsonde (120)
188206 2003-10-31 11:52:00 Nah, but thanks anyway for the input Greg S (201)
188207 2003-10-31 12:02:00 other thing to look at is system volueme Vs Amp volueme.

if you have the system volueme low and the amp cranked up lot then any interferance will be more, if you turn up the system volueme and turn down the amp you will get less interferance.

hope this makes sence.

my typing will be crap as I am a bit drunk at this this of the night
