188081 2003-10-31 04:24:00 Last night a friend was using my computer and carelessly installed MSN Messenger Plus with the "Sponsor program". This "sponsor program" turns out to be lop.com, which has added an annoying toolbar to IE. Apparently it's spyware and tracks my internet activity.

I've had no luck uninstalling it. I've tried
a) Downloading the "uninstall" software from the lop.com website
b) using AdAware
c) Using Spybot
d) Using Internet Sweeper Pro
e) Uninstalling MSG Plus which apparently uninstalls the sponsor too

Any ideas?

188084 2003-10-31 08:17:00 Hmm... it couldn't find the lop.com adware.

I am running WinXP Home (SP1). In IE6 it creates a new "toolbar" called "udrdrtkeehe". Anybody had any experinences with this problem, and had success removing it?

188085 2003-10-31 08:38:00 Well, assuming that you have uninstalled Messenger Plus, and used AdAware and Spybot, then the utility Noadware might not be able to find traces of Lop.com

Just as a precaution, clear your temporary internet files, history, and if you do not have any special saved settings for websites, cookies.

And if you still get this toolbar... my advice would be to reinstall Messenger Plus with the ad component (lop.com), then use Noadware from there.

188086 2003-10-31 08:40:00 Sounds like one i ran into a while back,i made a thread on it,managed to remove it with hijackthis. metla (154)
188087 2003-10-31 08:44:00 assumeing you have tried the latest adware and spybot (and have both of them fully updated) then you will need to use hijackthis (www.majorgeeks.com). be aware tho uninstalling the wrong thing can be dangerous. tweak'e (174)
188088 2003-10-31 08:51:00 Unfortunately NoAdware costs money. I've intentionally reinstalled Messenger Plus with the sponsor, and i'm runnning Adaware now.

I've also found a weird file in the root directory of my hard drive (unsizzle.bat). Could that be related in any way?
