Prevent those that would shatter Beet's PC world.

I remembered when you said,
Although prepared for martyrdom, I preferred that it be postponed.

who are you talking about T?

Winston?
i dont need people to fight my wars just be there to pick up the peices...
or pass the tissues....

some things happen for a reason and today is no different, i have learnt today dont take people for granted as they may not always be around....
and if you care, love or feel anything for them, make sure they know.
cos it may be to late, to say thanxs or love you.....
make that moment last, memories are evrything.

188161 2003-11-09 07:47:00 Actually after entering the family tree on my PC for my father the main reason people are so called living longer is because there are far fewer infant deaths. It amazed me even back in the 16 and17 hundreds just how many people lived to a ripe old age.
Another thought with medicine etc keeping people alive who would of normally fallen off their perch the human race could be getting weaker.

188162 2003-11-10 04:56:00 Well, it's as I said further up the page, someone "loses" himself in the Tararuas round about Angle Knob and uses his cell phone to get rescued.

He "couldnt" take a compass bearing because it was he said, "a white-out", and was without water for 36 hours.

Now about 60-80% of the time on the Tararua tops is wind/rain/thick cloud, so if you cant navigate in those conditions dont go.

From Angle Knob to the Jumbo hut turn off is a pretty good relatively flattish ridge and in good conditions takes about 1 hour, and there are some tarns near the turn off.

The only saving grace as far as I can see was he had a little dog with him, so I suppose it was fair enough to call for help for the little dogs sake :)
