For about a month now i have had problems. Not serious and only happens every 3 days or so, but damn annoying. It starts when I start to type on the net. it suddenly goes haywire and letter zooms across the page/box, icons can go awry flashing etc and all kinds of weird stuff: I have eliminated msblast and istbar (2 possible causes) I have AGV virus program which does not detect anything, I have an online virus scan that reported nothing. I have spybot that reports certain things and it does seem to help for a while after i have fixed them, but they're not viruses! It always starts with my typing something. I thought I had solved it! I am now baffled. Could it be my keyboard(Trust silverline wireless). Advice welcome. Pete

187956 2003-10-30 19:18:00 How long have the Batteries being in the Keyboard and Mouse this could be it

Do you have another computer near by in another room that uses a wireless keyboard and mouse. The reason I ask this a work colleague of mine had the same problem and we found out that another colleague in another room using a wireless keyboard was conflicting with the one he was using.

187957 2003-10-30 20:19:00 Funnily enough i thought that may be the problem when YESTERDAY I noticed the cursor stopping and starting after approx 5 second pause. I replaced batteries and it was OK, but the main problem mentioned, happened just 2 hours ago-AGAIN-although not so bad just a little seizure! dinerouk (4690)
187958 2003-10-30 20:21:00 PS That was just the mouse batteries. The K/B lights warning me of low condition have not lit, but you may have a point if they are low, but not reporting the condition. Could be worth replacing to find out. Thanks for reply. Pete dinerouk (4690)
187959 2003-10-31 11:27:00 I have changed to the other frequency in mouse and KB. It seems to be OK now-let's hope. Pete dinerouk (4690)
187960 2003-10-31 12:31:00 Make sure you get Alkaline batteries and not Heavy-Duty or the likes, as those wont last anywhere near as long! Chilling_Silently (228)
