| 188511 | 2003-11-01 21:27:00 | Win.XP Home. I have installed a RamDisk (E) and want to direct all temporary files to it. I changed the setting in IE (tools/Internet options/settings) to show E:\temp Internet files but after surfing for a while the file is still empty. Is there an Autoexec file which should also be updated? Thanks |

| 188512 | 2003-11-01 23:03:00 | Hi Martina, Not sure why IE temp files are not being directed to the new folder however I do know of a way to change the location of the windows temp folder in Win XP. Right click on My computer, click properties, go to the advanced tab and click the environmental variables button. Change the variable TMP and TEMP to the new folder (in your case, the RamDisk). TS |
