189154 2003-11-04 06:48:00 Hi there

OK: Anyone know of a good freeware program that can let me easily create my own True Type fonts?

Tried the Font Creator Program 4 ages ago but after uninstalling it and installing it in a different folder the trial still says I'm on day 92 or so of the 30 day trial period. (the same with corel bryce 5 trial, anyone know how to fix this?????????????)

Cheers

Yeah, buy it. Trials are so you can trial the software, usually for a set time. After that time if you still want to use it, you buy it. Otherwise you uninstall it.

I mean after I uninstalled it it must not have uninstalled everything, because it still knows its in day 90 of 30.

What didn't it uninstall?

189157 2003-11-05 05:17:00 Most likely an entry in the registry.

If you're really inclined, try running a registry cleaning program.

I also seem to remember there being a free font creation program on a recent PC Authority cover disc, but I can't find it anywhere, so I'm unable to tell you what application it is.

189158 2003-11-05 18:52:00 Well then you've obviously used it for 90 days already, which is well over the 30 day trial period. I think the "fix" you're trying to ask for will get you in trouble with the moderators, as it's kind of illegal. somebody (208)
189159 2003-11-05 20:15:00 Well..

I ran a registry cleaning program.. Easycleaner.

Maybe its a valid entry when the programs uninstalled?????? Hopeless programs... Mucking up my registry like that when it says it "was succesfullly uninstalled from my computer"!!! Wonder how much other registry entrees I've got from programs that are uninstalled??

Cheers

It hasn't mucked up your registry. It's left a valid registry entry in there so that it knows that you've already used up the trial period. Otherwise you could just install it and use it for 30 days, uninstall it and reinstall and do it all over again, without paying the software company any money. Trial software is just that - a trial. If you want to use it for longer than the specified time, then you buy it. You can't just uninstall it and reinstall it everytime you hit the trial time-out period.
