189107 2003-11-04 05:53:00 The text in my Office 2000 help file (right hand pane) is very small and hardly legible. Is there any way I can change that? bpt1 (419)
189108 2003-11-04 06:17:00 You can change the font and the colours, simply by changing them in Internet Explorer. They remain locked to the IE settings though. godfather (25)
189109 2003-11-04 06:33:00 Godfather, are you able to change the font size within IE for Word's help font? I am not able to on Word XP - can only change font type and colour. Susan B (19)

Yes, but the font display for Word's Help is very much tied in with Internet Explorer. Another example of how Microsoft's products are very closely entwined with each other and the operating system.

189112 2003-11-04 06:48:00 Yes, I can change the size and colour of Office XP help text.

You need to close Word/Excel etc down and re-open to display the change after changing it in IE.

I suspect its similar in Office 2k, but dont have it loaded at present to test.

189113 2003-11-04 06:58:00 Ah, I have done it now. Had to load a page into Internet Explorer, have Word's Help file open with a query loaded, then in IE went to View>Text Size and chose a larger size. Before Word's help font was larger I also had to choose Internet Options (in Word's Help menu) and click the OK button (without doing anything) before it would apply.

Hopefully it will be similar in Word 2000.

189114 2003-11-04 07:09:00 If you read Word Help, it tells you how to do it.

Now, thats a problem if the Word help font is too small to read, admittedly.
