189434 2003-11-07 10:08:00 One simple question yes.

OK. Get out a spade and bury it. Erect simple cross.

You could read through the posts and make your own mind up based on your knowledge and the answers to your post.

There is no way that I think you don't have a brain. Threads can be Hijacked.

Your question was simple. I thought though that the computer you wanted to bury just may not be DEAD!!!!

If it isn't dead then I suggest give it away.

189435 2003-11-07 10:32:00 lolololol

er darling elephant, thank you i think, now to set things staright this is the old deceast puter from insurance replacement, when it got zapped beyond repair and replaced by new work one.

it may go but not enough to ever be of any use again.
and as have never had to er get rid of a puter or any article of this sort did not know where to go or look and the lovely people at pf1 always have an answer for almost any query good / bad or different.

and as to how i gave the idea directly or indirectly it was not dead or otherwise i dont know, all i asked was (can of worms) what do you do with dead comps????

lol yes a blonde moment perhaps, and im quite used to threads being hijacked, i often do it myself not meaning to..of course.

and i thank you kindly Elephant for your help, and i know i can rely on you all for help, taking things mainly at face value as it were.

and im sorry if i worried anyone about my motives or language (lack of for once) that may have hinted beetle is off her rocker again...
:D

thanxs all

rest easy, beetle is back on course today.

tomorow is another story..
:D

have a good weekend all.

189437 2003-11-07 11:04:00 Actually, I am looking for some dead computers.

Not everything dead, just some dead, and some parts alive for me.

189438 2003-11-07 20:07:00 OK, well Beetle is not actually talking about a computer but her old motherboard, the one that died. :D :D

That sort of changes our perceptions a bit, doesn't it? :p :D

Beetle, don't throw it away - hold onto it because I would like it, please. I will discuss it with you very soon but in the meantime tuck it up somewhere nice and safe and tell it it is going to a new home. :-)

189439 2003-11-07 20:12:00 Do you have a free section (no cost to you) in your local paper Beetle? Maybe advertise as give away for some kid to play and learn. You may start a NZ Bill Gates :D Pheonix (280)

Some are really well built with no hassles at all, my Compaq 286/12 for example is still running well and it was produced in 1989.
