189309	2003-11-05 03:29:00	I have just put win98 on my 76 yr old m/inlaws puter so she can still play bridge and basically the overlay of 95 went well, The main thing I am missing is the chimes (.wav)??? I reinstalled the ESS sound card and it plays music CD fine and when u use the dial up you can hear the modem through the speakers etc so I understand i have a conflict as it says when I go into check the sounds that "your sound card is being used" When u go to "test" the .wav against the sybols. I have read a few things but i am confused the more i read and the fact I have sound from the modem etc has me perplexed, I have also lost the volume icon and I have follwed the instructions in MS to get it back but it dont come. It is a ess 1868 sound card but i dont think that is the problem it is getting the wav to work! My mil needs sound for her bridge!! so if anyone can help then much appreciated Richard Seay	richone (4835)
