| 189335 | 2003-11-05 00:53:00 | I recently upgraded me system by adding a new motherboard, graphics card, hard-drive and ram. But now whenever I start my system, after it has been off for some time, it will not recognise the CD Rom drive. A few seconds after it is turned on, I can tell if the CD will be recognize by the flashing light on it, so when it does not flash, I just shut the computer off, then restart. On the re-start it always recognizes the CD. Any ideas? I have already checked all the power cables and connections to the CD Rom inside the case. Robert |

I would suggest you to check the power and signal cables again, or swap the power cable with another device, or, use another spare power cable (if there is any). 2. Remove the CD drive and plug it to another computer (known to be good) to rule out a faulty drive. Good luck |
