| 190251 | 2003-11-09 04:28:00 | How can I perminently change my default page in IE6? All of a sudden my default web page keeps returning to : http://www.idgsearch.com. I have repeatedly changed it back in internet options/General/home page and searched the registry & changed all references, but it keeps changing back. I have even run ' Spybot - search & destroy' but it has not found any problems either. Running XP Home After advice here I also ran 'Ad-aware' & had thought that had worked but unfortunately the next time time I used IE6 ...there was that reverted home page again!! |

| 190252 | 2003-11-09 05:00:00 | have you updated spybot and adaware? otherwise try hijacthis (www.majorgeeks.com), just be carefull what you remove. also clean out any temp files. also update you browser make sure all sicurity patchs are in place. you could be simply reinfecting your self by useing an unpatched browser and going to an infected site. |
