Here are some browsers to look at: Opera (http://www.opera.com) Mozilla (http://mozilla.org/) Mozilla Firebird (mozilla.org) & Netscape (http://www.netscape.com/) Other links for Netscape: Download (channels.netscape.com) & the Offline Installer (wp.netscape.com) Archived version of Netscape (wp.netscape.com) |

| 190307 | 2003-11-09 19:55:00 | Well for the moment I'm going to be testing out i.Scribe as my email client - it's a small download (under 700KB), and doesn't even need to be installed, you just run it from a directory. You can put password protection on the mail folder (something I wanted), it supports GPG via a plugin, and it is very light (describes itself as "Outlook without the fat"). I might go for Firebird or else full Mozilla as a browser... but I'll have to test chat clients, because I have unexplicable dislikings if I don't feel something is quite right. |

| 190308 | 2003-11-09 20:41:00 | Email: Eudora (although not sure what GPG is?) or Opera Mail Browser: Opera :) Media Player: personally i would never use realplayer, i think its almost as invasive as gator grr, i have a few issues with media player cause every media file i get seems to be in some different format or another so i had about ten different players, but recently someone put me onto a program called VLC media player, well i was skeptical at first cause the suggestion came from a MAC user, but wow this sucker plays everything i can throw at it, my new best friend. www.videolan.org Chat Client: i dont use them and cant remeber the name of it but there is one that will service all others, eg hotmail, icq. just cant think of the name of it :( |
