190095 2003-11-08 05:34:00 I think we agree Beetle, There is something wrong. The problem started as soon as we arrived in NZ over 25 years ago, and I bought some work shirts from Farmers size M and I had to take them back, the sleeves came half-way up to my elbows and I couldnt button the shirt fronts.

I weighed only 63Kg, with 82 cm waist then, (smoking you know keeps your weight down, but I dont now).

Now I think with all the Chinese and other Asian made clothing, the problem is still there just the same. What a Chinese/Asian regards as Extra Large would be the same as the average Medium westerner.

The same applies to Japanese imported vans, I had a Daihatsu Hi-Jet, and now a Jap import Ford Spectron. It is not possible to move the drivers seat back far enough to be fully comfortable and Im only 1.77m, that's only 5' 9 1/2 " for those still thinking in feet and inches.

190096 2003-11-08 06:45:00 Thanks guys. Following Susan's words. I used a measuring tape and measured myself as the guy at the shop did. 96cm approx for upper chest and 84cm for the waist. I will check when I go abroad, take adv of duty free u see or if I do get it here .. Its funny cos, the garment number no way reflects these two measurements.

'suite' ah..ha. :D what does LMAO stand for ?:|

190100 2003-11-09 02:08:00 In a triumph of international standardisation, New Zealand uses these sizes: Too big. Too small. Graham L (2)
