1350048 2013-07-28 13:25:00 Hi

I have an GTX 560 and I5 2.5k with 12GB Ram.
I believe I can use my PC to record TV programmes.

I currently have a broadband player which I've purchased from Hong Kong where the programmes are streamed.
Right now I watch programmes on my TV using HDMI.

My graphics card appears to have an HDMI input.
My friend wants to watch some of the programmes and I'm wanting to record a few programmes for her but I'm not sure where to start?

What software or additional hardware is required to use my PC as a recording tool just like a standard hard drive recorder?

Thanks

1350049 2013-07-28 21:12:00 I'd be very surprised if the GTX560 has an HDMI video input. Something like this (pbtech.co.nz) or this (pbtech.co.nz) is probably what you're after. inphinity (7274)
1350050 2013-07-28 23:22:00 It's very very likely an HDMI output. If it had an HDMI input that could record to an unencrypted digital file every pirate on the planet would be lining up to buy one. Agent_24 (57)
